On 7th September I will be completing the Great North Run, I will be running in memory of my big cousin Danny. Danny passed away after suffering a head injury when he was just 11 3/4, although I never got to meet him I have always felt connected to him and carry his name in mine with great love and pride.

I am running on behalf of Brain Research UK, an amazing charity that focuses on research into: brain & spinal cord injuries, brain tumours as well as research into other brain related medical conditions. I have a minimum target of £500 to meet with the total being donated to Brain Research UK in Danny’s name.

After I signed up for this, as most of you will know Aunty Caroline was diagnosed with a brain tumour making it even more poignant of a cause to be running for and giving yet more motivation to raise money for Brain Research UK. Love you, Aunty Cal!
