Three years ago, on October 14th, my dad died after a short battle with cancer. It left us all reeling. The following May, on his birthday, my sister and I ran the Leeds Marathon together. This year, I wanted to do something on the three year anniversary of him leaving us. So, I am going to run the Yorkshire Marathon in York and will be raising money for his chosen charity MNDA. He was an avid Leeds Rhinos fan and became very taken with Rob Burrow's struggles with the disease. This race is a way to remember my dad and raise some money for a very good cause.
