Racing 567 miles for ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoo - 1 mile per species!
I'm helping ZSL to save endangered wildlife and protect the natural world.
As a charity, ZSL relies on donations and visitors to fund their vital conservation work. Animal-lovers keep them going!
Their Scientists, Zookeepers, Vets and Conservationists work around the world to power sustainable solutions, bringing threatened species back from the brink of extinction so that they can thrive again.
My wife and I have been patrons of the Zoological Society of London for several years and have had some amazing experiences at both Zoo's.
We've been there for the births of tigers, giraffes, and rhinoceroses. We stayed at Whipsnade in the lodges and hand-fed Czar, the Tiger before he moved to Leipzig.
I remember London Zoo from when I was a child, enjoying all the animals and events that ZSL has put on over the years.
ZSL even played a part in supporting us when my father-in-law passed away last year.
Animals have also played an essential part in my thinking in my professional life and how we approach technology.
I have wanted to do something more to support them in their conservation work for a while now but never found the right challenge.
I have set myself the challenge of running 1 mile for every species across ZSL Whipsnade and ZSL London.
The final count is in and there are 567 species across the zoos!
I'm only counting runs from timed events, none of my regular training or social runs.
By donating, you can help ZSL care for their 25,000 animals, and support their work with communities across the globe, driving forward a journey of recovery for our planet, protecting animals and reviving ecosystems.
Please support me today and join the fight for wildlife!
