Story
Siwmae and hello! 🏴
I’m Llinos ‘Nos’…I’m embarking on this next adventure to raise as much money as I can for Dementia UK..again.
A little bit about me;
I’m 34, from Llanelli, South Wales. I live in London and work in theatre. Yes…this does mostly mean that I’m used to sitting comfortably at a sewing machine for hours a day. I enjoy quite an active lifestyle and love a physical challenge, so thought…why not put it to good use and help a great and worthy cause.
In April I will be running the Paris Marathon. Not only will I be hoping to complete my first marathon, but also, in May 2026, I will be jetting off to Nepal to hike Everest Base camp to raise as much money as I can for Dementia UK.
Why Dementia UK? As a family, we have, in the past taken part and raised money for the charity in small community fundraisers. My grandfather, Alwynne Gunn battled with dementia for eight years and as a family, we were able to provide the care he needed. Forgetting how to do the everyday things that we take for granted e.g eating, communicating and walking are just some of the things this cruel and nasty disease affects. This is why I have decided to contribute, in some way towards fighting dementia and raise funds in the hope that further research will one day lead to a cure.
Dementia UK provides incredible guidance and support for those living with dementia, including their families. With your donations, how ever big or small, we can make a huge difference.
