Story
EVERY MILE HAS A MEANING
From 14th to 20th June 2027, we’re taking on the Mind Over Miles Virtual Race to raise awareness for men’s mental health and support the message that no man should ever feel like he has to struggle in silence.
Mind Over Miles is more than a 5K challenge. It is a movement built around one simple but powerful idea: it’s okay to talk.
So many men carry their worries quietly. They keep going, keep smiling, keep saying they’re fine, even when they are not. This challenge is about changing that. It is about using movement, community, fundraising, and conversation to show men everywhere that reaching out is not weakness. It is strength.
We are proud to support ANDYSMANCLUB, a men’s suicide prevention charity offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK and online. Their work helps break the stigma around men’s mental health through the power of conversation.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
You can take part in Mind Over Miles from anywhere. Run, jog, walk, or complete your 5K in your own way during the event week. You can do it alone, with friends, with family, as a workplace team, or in memory of someone special.
There are three simple ways to support:
Take part — complete the Mind Over Miles 5K Challenge between 14th and 20th June 2027 at https://the-running-bug.com/virtual-challenges/all-virtual-running-challenges/mind-over-miles/
Donate — every donation, big or small, helps support the cause and shows men who are struggling that people care.
Share the message — post your photos, your progress, your reason for taking part, and your fundraising page. One shared story could be the reason someone starts a conversation they really needed to have.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Your donation is not just supporting a virtual race. It is helping raise awareness, challenge stigma, and encourage more men to speak up before they reach crisis point.
Every mile completed, every pound raised, and every conversation started can make a difference.
Whether you donate, join the challenge, or simply share this page, you are helping to send a message that matters:
It’s OK not to be OK. But it’s not OK to stay silent.
Please donate, take part, and help us turn miles into meaning.
Run your miles. Start a conversation. Change a life.
