Story
On 27th January 2023, Simon’s dad, Leslie Austin, passed away after losing his hard-fought battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). He was just 62 years old.
During his final months, he was cared for and supported by the Adult Integrated Respiratory (AIR) team, part of the Frimley Health Charity (FHC), who provided invaluable care during the most difficult time in our lives, and we were so grateful for their support.
To continue our ‘Thank You’ for everything the incredible people in the AIR and FHC teams did for dad and our family during such a difficult time, Simon & Phil will be running the iconic London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for the Frimley Health Charity.
All donations, however small, will be so gratefully received. As an NHS charity, Frimley Health Charity relies on donations to fund their work and everything they do is only possible thanks to the generosity and support of people like you.
The last few months we had with dad were only possible thanks to these incredible people; they gave us more time, and made dad more comfortable when it was needed the most, so please help us to help others have more time with their loved ones in the most difficult times they will ever face.
Thank you so much for your support.
Simon & Phil
