Running the Windsor Half Marathon in memory of Michael (Mick) 🧡
On 27 September, I'll be running the Windsor Half Marathon in memory of my dear friend, Michael (Mick).
I'm raising money for James' Place following Michael's tragic death. I've known Michael since I was a teenager, and losing him has been heartbreaking.
Last year, Michael generously supported me when I ran a half marathon for charity. Earlier this year, when I ran another half marathon that wasn't for charity, he still asked if he could donate. That was simply the kind of person he was.
This time, I'm running for him.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help James' Place continue their vital work supporting men experiencing suicidal crisis.
Thank you for helping me honour Michael's memory.
Stay another day. Talk another day 🧡
At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. In the UK, suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 35 and men consistently account for around three-quarters of suicides.
We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham. Since opening in 2018, we have helped more than 5,100 men through their crisis.
Your donation could help save a man's life.
