Story
Hi, I’m Dan – proud dad to our amazing little girl, Rosa.
In January, we lived every parent’s worst nightmare. Rosa was rushed into ICU, placed on a ventilator, and at times we thought we were going to lose her. After weeks of uncertainty, she was finally diagnosed with Riboflavin Transporter Deficiency (RTD) – a life-threatening and ultra-rare neurological condition.
RTD is so rare that most doctors have never heard of it. Even today, many children are still being diagnosed too late — or not at all.
Rosa is still with us thanks to the Cure RTD Foundation, who gave us and our doctors the critical information we needed. Their advice led directly to her receiving the right treatment, in time. We truly believe their support helped save her life.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
My friend and colleague Ryan and I are running the Yorkshire Marathon to raise money for this incredible charity. We’re calling it Running for Rosa and RTD — and we’d love your support.
The Cure RTD Foundation spends nearly every penny on research grants aimed at finding a cure and new treatments. Every donation helps push this vital work forward and brings hope to other families like ours.
Please donate if you can — and thank you so much for being part of our journey.
