Story

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to announce that I will be running the Brighton Marathon in 2025 to raise money for Mind, a charity dedicated to supporting mental health. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I want to share why I chose to support Mind and why this marathon means so much to me.

Mental health is a critical issue, particularly for men, who often face unique challenges in seeking help. Society's expectations and stereotypes about masculinity can make it difficult for men to discuss their mental health struggles openly. This has contributed to a crisis where men are less likely to reach out for support and more likely to suffer in silence.

I have personally felt the impact of mental health struggles within my circles. I've lost loved ones who battled with their mental health, and this has driven home the urgency of addressing this issue. Their stories are a constant reminder of the importance of mental health support and the devastating consequences when it is lacking.

Moreover, I have faced my own mental health challenges over the years. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and lost, but through support and perseverance, I was able to navigate those dark periods. These experiences have shaped who I am today and have made me more determined to advocate for mental health awareness and achieve difficult things.

By running the Brighton Marathon, I aim to raise not only funds but also awareness about the importance of mental health. I want to show that it is possible to overcome mental health challenges and emerge stronger. Achieving something as demanding as a marathon is a testament to the resilience and strength that lies within us all.

Please join me in supporting Mind. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in someone's life. Together, we can provide the support and resources needed for those struggling with their mental health. Let’s work towards a future where no one feels alone in their battle, and where seeking help is seen as a strength, not a weakness.

Thank you for your support!
