Running for Donnie for Children's Cancer North

50 Mile run from Shilbottle to the RVI · 3 May 2025
The plan is to start off in Donnie’s home town of Shilbottle at 7am on Saturday 3rd May and run to the RVI where he’s been getting treatment.
We’re hoping to have a mass finish and get all of Donnie’s friends and family running the last leg with us through leases park.
A team from Real Fitness gym in Alnwick are wanting to show their support to Donnie and his family and attempt to run from home to ward which will be around the 50 mile mark!
We will plan a route and upload the live route via a tracker so that on the day people can track where we are, and if anyone wants to jump in and run a leg/bring snacks or just cheer us on - they’ll know roughly where we’ll be.
Please share this far and wide so we can raise us much as possible for Donnie’s chosen charity.
Children's Cancer North is dedicated to making life better for children with cancer across the North East and Cumbria. Around 100 children from across the region are newly diagnosed with cancer every year and come to the Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle for their treatment. Children's Cancer North aims to improve their quality of life through transforming the environment and play experience on the wards, providing access to potentially life saving clinical trials and funding revolutionary research to find more effective treatments.
