We are fundraising for James’ Place, a charity which works to support men in suicidal crises, in memory of Finn, who we lost in 2017.

James’ Place is a game-changing male suicide prevention charity. Their lifesaving treatment, offered completely free of charge at their centres has already transformed the lives of over 1,500 suicidal men in London and Liverpool. They are now raising funds to open three more centres across England so more lives can be saved.

The total cost of supporting one man at James’ Place is £2.5k. This pales against the £1.7m estimated cost to the public purse of one death by suicide, let alone the incalculable human cost of a lifetime of grief and loss for the families and friends of those lost to suicide. We are fundraising to cover the cost of supporting FOUR men going through suicidal crisis.

Alex, Finn’s Mum who works for James’ Place said: "We are incredibly touched that Finn’s friends are running the marathon in his memory and for James’ Place. Finn ran the Chester Marathon ten years ago and I am joining them as I want to follow in his footsteps and help raise money for James’ Place in his name. It makes it very special to be able to do this with his friends. Here’s to you our darling Finn. You continue to, and will always, inspire us all."
