Taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 to raise awareness and vital funds to continue to reach more families and provide more services and support.

Story

This year, I’m taking on a challenge close to my heart—the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025. But this race is about so much more than the miles I’ll cover. It’s about my beautiful niece, Habibah, who inspires me every single day, and the incredible organization I’m supporting—Positive About Down Syndrome.

Habibah is a bright, joyful, and resilient little girl who happens to have Down Syndrome. She faces challenges most of us will never understand, yet she does so with a smile that lights up every room she enters. Her courage, strength, and unbreakable spirit are my motivation.

Running 13.1 miles may seem daunting, but it’s nothing compared to the hurdles Habibah overcomes daily. From the moment she was born, she’s shown our family what it means to be truly strong. She has taught us that love is stronger than any obstacle and that every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory worth celebrating.

That’s why I’m running this race not just for Habibah, but also to raise awareness and funds for Positive About Down Syndrome. This incredible organization provides vital support, information, and advocacy for families like ours, helping to create a world where individuals with Down Syndrome are valued and included. They work tirelessly to spread positivity, challenge misconceptions, and ensure that everyone with Down Syndrome has the opportunity to thrive.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to that future. Your support means the world to me, to Habibah, and to so many others who are running their own races every day. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let’s make every mile count for Habibah, Positive About Down Syndrome, and all those who inspire us to keep moving forward.

With love and gratitude,

Abdul
