Ali Noyce is raising money for Refugee Action

Hackney Half Marathon 2025 · 18 May 2025 ·

Refugee Action provides direct support to people seeking safety in the UK, as well as campaigning for their rights. Our vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives.

Story

We've gathered a team of runners, ranging from beginners to seasoned pros, to take on the Hackney Half Marathon in support of Refugee Action. That’s 13.1 miles - no small feat.

Meet our Running for Refugees team (in no particular order): Ali, Chand, Sarah, Ed, Charlie, Abby, Saagar, Raj, Sheetal, Tom and Grace. (There may or may not be a caterpillar costume involved for some runners - stay tuned).

In light of the current global situation, we decided to unite for a team challenge and raise significant funds for a cause close to our hearts. We believe that refugees deserve better, which is why we’ve chosen to fundraise for Refugee Action.

Founded in 1981, Refugee Action has been advocating for refugees for over four decades. Their mission is to create a welcoming, anti-racist society where refugees can thrive. They provide thousands of people seeking safety in the UK with essential support - safe housing, integration services, and employment advice - while also campaigning for a fairer, more just future for refugees.

Please consider donating if you can. Together we can help people who have survived the worst, find the best support and thrive.
