In 2018 my husband and I lost our first child, a boy, his name was Mani. Sands was an integral part of our journey through this horrible time. We were able to attend face-to-face support groups, I received support over the phone, over email, in special dedicated forums, they provided memory boxes in hospital and helped arrange our baby's funeral. In short, I don't know how I would have got through it without them.

I'm fundraising for Sands to help ensure they can continue to offer this type of support for anybody else that suddenly finds themselves suffering the crippling shock and grief that comes after a still birth, or neonatal death. But also because they also work in partnership with health professionals to promote improvements in medical practice, and fund research that could help to reduce the number of babies lives lost each year.
