Story
Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.2million to run each year with just 17% of the funding we receive coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising activities and the support of our the generous local community in Cheshire. In addition, they raise money through their local charity shops and weekly lottery.
Over the next 9 months to support, raise awareness and fundraise for this exceptional charity I am embarking on running 3 events totalling 105km.
I am taking part in the Chester Marathon on 6th October 2024, the Four Villages Half Marathon on Sunday 19th January 2025 and concluding with the London Marathon on 27th April 2025.
I am very proud to be lacing up my running shoes, swapping beer for energy gels and representing this vital cause. I am committed to training hard and fundraising even harder, so please keep in touch to hear about my efforts and fundraising journey alongside The Hornsmill Pub on both of our socials.
All of your donations and best wishes are hugely appreciated by myself and especially all at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd!
Thank you
Sam
