In October I'll be running a half marathon.

Why?

I'm not sure tbh, my best friend forced me and its for a good cause because I'll be part of Team Refuge.

One woman in four will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime and on average two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

Domestic violence is not fatal right away. It escalates until it's too late. Most of the time the answer to "why didn't she leave her violent partner" is a lack of means or a place to go to.

Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse. They provide temporary accommodations and all kind of services for women and children.

So let's team up.

I'll do the running part, you can help with the funding part. The goal was originally to raise £350, but as it was met in 2 days, i've moved it to £500!

And i've moved it to £1000 cos you guys are great.
