Story
Hello! I'm Edith from Peru, and last year, I made the exciting move to the United Kingdom with a Global Talent Visa in the Technology sector. I've been living in London for 11 months now, and every day, I find myself becoming more connected to this incredible country and its vibrant culture. This year, I've decided to take on a new adventure by participating in London's most famous marathon.
It isn't just about the amotion of the race for me; this is also about giving back. I chose to run for NSPCC, The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a cause that truly resonates with me. Growing up in a humble family, I was fortunate to receive guidance and support from others, which shaped my life in beautiful ways. Now, as an adult, it's my turn to do something meaningful for those who need it most, especially the children whose voices often go unheard, those who are afraid to speak up, and those who need help.
The NSPCC is the leading charity in the UK dedicated to ending child abuse. They work without stop to help children rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find ways to prevent abuse from happening in the first place. Every child deserves a chance to grow up safe and happy, and that’s why I'm running...to support this mission! :)
Message for those who are supporting me: Thank you so much for your support in my 2025 London Marathon JustGiving challenge! Every donation goes directly to the NSPCC; no matter how much your donation is, we appreciate it.
