Run with Rita (for the Royal Society for Blind Children)

Michael Nobbs is raising money for Royal Society for Blind Children

Run with Rita · 26 April 2026

RSBC believe every blind child and their family should have the skills and confidence they need to live their life without limits. We work with blind children and young people and their families to develop the skills they need to overcome the barriers to realising their hopes, dreams and ambitions.

Story

On Sunday 26th April Carl, Cathy, Deb, Dan, Leona, Lisa, Martha, Mei, Michael, Nathan, Rita, Rob, Ruby, Sarah and Stuart are raising money for the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC).

As part of 'Run with Rita' they are running different distances along the same route, with the longest being 26.2 miles and a huge total distance of almost 65 miles. Rita and one of her best friends Mei are running almost 2 km with everyone ending together.

Rita (Michael's daughter) lost her eyesight just before her 6th birthday and is classed as severely sight impaired (commonly called 'blind'). Rita would not continue to thrive and accomplish what she has if it were not for charities such as RSBC.

RSBC provide support, education and advice to blind and partially sighted children and young people (up to 25), and their families. They cannot continue to provide this support without vital fundraising and any sponsorship, however small, is much appreciated.

Thank you

Carl, Cathy, Deb, Dan, Leona, Lisa, Martha, Mei, Michael, Nathan, Rita, Rob, Ruby, Sarah and Stuart xxx
