Mannin Cancer Help is the “hub of help” where the patient or anyone affected by cancer can come and ask questions have a coffee, connect with others, share experiences, gain support or simply sit and have a chat. WE need to continue to raise vital funds to continue to operate this center and to provide support to cancer patients and their support network. The overall aim and objective of our Centre is to make a positive impact on the lives of people affected by cancer, providing a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, practical support, and connection with others who are going through a similar experience. Our vision is for our Centre to offer free practical, emotional, and social support to people diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones.  It is a unique environment where individuals can receive holistic care, which is intended to compliment the clinical care provided by the hospital.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just giving page.

We're a thriving group of mates that recently completed and enjoyed, hiking halfway around the island, we used the raad my foillan (the way of the gull) path which expresses the islands natural beauty of the coast.

Last time we adventured on the west coast starting in the sound and finishing at the point of ayre, we thoroughly enjoyed it and made amazing memories along the way.

This time we will hike the full way (100 miles) once again starting in the sound and working our way up the west coast and coming down via the east coast concluding our adventure at the start of our loop.

When thinking of completing a similar hike to last time we decided to do the full route despite most of us having little hiking experience. When coming together to plan the basics for the hike we thought of the great idea to do it for charity.

The reason we decided on the charity was due to it's island wide support to cancer patients and their families, when we went up to the charity to see what they really do we were delighted to see how amazing they really are, they Inform patients on their appointments and procedures whilst also mentally preparing and supporting the patients. They assist the families by educating and explaining the patients medical progress.

We are going to set up challenges for us to do for certain amounts of donation, for example eat kippers in peel or everyone has to do 30 press ups etc.

Any donations would be ever so much appreciated and if you want to help In any other ways please spread our page round we're on tiktok, Facebook and Instagram as the rushen ramblers.
