Russell’s running the London Marathon for Marie Curie

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
2025 will be the 25th Anniversary of my mum's (Hazel ) passing; at a young age of 52 she succumb to that dreaded disease that no one likes to talk about, and passed away peacefully at home with Dad ( Sam) by her bedside. During her final months, the care, compassion and dedication given by the Marie Curie nurses was totally amazing, the nurses were with her for many months, caring for her every need and ensuring she had a friendly face to talk to and making sure she was comfortable at all times.
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
It is an honour and a privilege for me to be allocated a charity place in the TCS 2025 London Marathon and run the 26.2 miles in the hope that I can raise as much money as possible for this truly remarkable charity.
Every single penny donated by you very kind people will support cancer patients and families throughout those difficult times and help Marie Curie to provide vital support to those most in need.
I thank you for your generous donation and look forward to seeing you at the finish line.
