Story
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share that my father-in-law, Mark, a world-class portrait painter and esteemed member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, is fighting a devastating battle against Motor Neurone Disease (MND). His breathtaking works, displayed in galleries across the country, have touched countless lives with their beauty and depth. Tragically, Mark’s condition is compounded by rapidly progressing dementia, which has accelerated the disease’s cruel impact, robbing him of his independence and the ability to create the art he loves.
There is currently no treatment or cure for MND, and the added complexity of dementia makes his fight even more challenging. Watching someone so talented and vibrant face these merciless diseases is heartbreaking, but we hold onto hope. I’m raising funds to support critical research into finding treatments and, ultimately, a cure for MND and dementia.
