Story

Cancer is happening right now, It doesn't discriminate and can take people at any age as I have sadly learnt over the years with many members of my own family. I lost the best mum in the world (Penny) to Cancer on the 11th of January 1979 at the age of 33, hard for a boy of just 13. I lost my grandad (Charles) to Cancer in December 1983, my Gran (Irene) in March 1993, my Gran (Phyllis) to in April 2003 and most recently Charlie, my Awsome Funny full of life Father-in-law on the 12th of November 2021 to Bowel Cancer.

Please help me and to raise much-needed funds for Bowel Cancer Uk.

On the 20th June 2026 I will be taking on Chase the Sun South - A diverse cross-section of the city, country and history. Starting in the Thames estuary, the 205 mile route bi-sects south London, bridging the Thames onto Wiggin’s Olympic time trial route, before seeking green country lanes, quaint villages, the lush Vale of Pewsey, climbing the Mendip hills, descending breathtaking Cheddar gorge, finally arriving on the seafront at Weston-Super-Mare. The aim within this Challenge is to set off at Sunrise and arrive at the finish before Sunset.

In addition to this Challenge, I will be tackling the Dock to Dock Swim Challenge in London on the 12th September 2026, this will be a 5km open water swim.

Please Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
