Russell House staff are delighted to be supporting Demelza Hospice Care for Children, with two exciting events this year with the hope of raising as much money as possible for this important local children's charity. Demelza delivers care to extraordinary children who are facing serious or life-limiting conditions, throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. They provide families with expert clinical, emotional and practical support at every step – from first diagnosis and for as long as needed.

Having now completed their virtual ‘Tour de Kent’ on the 26th January 2026, logging 167.9 miles on a Peloton bike in the School's front porch, Russell House staff are now preparing for the next part of their challenge, taking place this summer.

In June 2026, Mr McCarthy will be leading a small team of staff up Ben Nevis via the Càrn Mòr Dearg Arete. This is a spicy way to ascend Britain’s highest point and is time limited, leaving at 4.15pm on a Friday but back in school on Monday morning!
