Story
As you probably know by now Jake and I adopted the gorgeous little Apollo from Cats Protection in July 2025. He was living in a multi-cat household and was in a real state when he arrived with them, including having had his eyes removed (presumed to be due to complications of an infection as a kitten).
The wonderful team at Cats Protection took him in, vaccinated/de-fleaed/de-wormed him, neutered him, and paid for him to have two further operations on his eye sockets to sort out a painful infection in what was left of his eyes. They then helped us adopt him and provided support throughout.
He’s now the light of our lives and thriving in his new home. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the work they did for him and I want to repay them somehow.
I’ve run the Hackney Half five times before and am pledging to try and beat my personal best (1h58m) as part of a fundraiser for them!
