Story
The famous RNLI Yellow Welly Cobble Wobble is a challenging 12 mile off-road run taking in the epic scenery and infamous hills of the Clovelly Estate - all to raise funds for Clovelly RNLI.
It is situated in the North Devon terrain, enjoying special access to the Estate and a chance to see areas that are normally closed off to the public. From gentle undulations through plantations and meandering woodland trails to challenging climbs and technical descents, the course promises an experience you’ll never forget. Running through carpets of bluebells in the ancient woodland of Brownsham Woods, reaching dizzying elevations before negotiating the challenging pebbles at Mouth Mill Beach. Entrants climb from the high cliffs of the North Devon coastline to the clear waters of Clovelly Harbour, with stunning views of Lundy and Exmoor in the distance, before the calf-killing final challenge: a sprint finish up through the famous cobbled street.
This may not be a marathon distance but the off-road elevation of 2.750ft will be another make or break experience for this aging lady and that final, cobbled hill up through Clovelly will be a challenge in itself!
Thank you for donating to this very important and valuable charity.🙂
