I am raising money for my daughter’s school, specifically the Discovery Phase for children with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities). As it is Elin’s 18th birthday in July we wish to say thank you to the school for the incredible years they have given her by raising money for future pupils attending the department. We hope to buy educational resources and equipment which the Discovery Phase can use to continue to support the education of children like Elin.

I have never run a marathon before but was inspired by (cliche alert!) watching the London Marathon on TV last year. Training so far has been intense and more difficult than I imagined- especially in all the winter wind and rain! But, I look forward to doing my best on April 19th at the Manchester Marathon with Elin and all her amazing school friends and staff in mind.
