I'm joining #TeamKidney and taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11 October 2026.

I’ve wanted to run this race for a while and the opportunity to run for #TeamKidney gives me extra motivation. As you may know my husband Mick died in 2005 having lived with kidney disease for 13 years. He benefitted from advances in research but there is still much to do.

There are around 7.2 million people living with kidney disease in the UK, treatments can be gruelling and currently there is no cure. Only research will end this and nobody can do it but Kidney Research UK, by offering kidney patients and their families hope for the future.

Every pound that you donate will help make a difference to those living with kidney disease.
