Story
This September, I’ll be taking on Ironman Wales in Tenby — 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles on the bike and a marathon to finish. Ironman Wales has been deemed as one of the toughest, Ironmans in the world with its open seas and rugged terrain. So I am feeling grateful to have Devon as my training ground !
It’s a huge personal challenge, but this one means so much more than simply reaching the finish line.
I’m raising money for the Molly Rose Foundation, a charity incredibly close to our family’s hearts with Molly being part of our family. Molly was bright , creative and full of kindness but in 2017 at just 14 years old, her life ended after being exposed to harmful content online.
The Molly Rose Foundation was created in her memory to help prevent young suicide and connect young people in crisis with the support they need.
Knowing that every mile I swim, cycle and run can help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause will give me a very special reason to keep going when things get tough in Tenby.
Molly Rose Foundation wants to help reach those at risk of suicide and connect them to the help, support, and practical advice they need. Alongside working with policy makers and tech companies to create a safer online world to prevent future harms.
