On April 6th 2025 I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon and on April 27th 2025 the Manchester Marathon in honour of my amazing Mum and incredible Dad.

In 2006, my beautiful Mummy was diagnosed with a Stage 4 GBM Brain Tumour. Mum battled a hideous journey over 18 months and passed away on January 28th 2008.

In 2017, my one of a kind Daddy was diagnosed with a Stage 3 Squamous Cell Carnicoma and underwent life altering facial surgery alongside radiotherapy. In 2018, Dad was also diagnosed with primary Bowel cancer and underwent further invasive procedures and lengthy chemotherapy treatment. On August 26th 2024 my Dad passed away at home in the arms of myself and my 2 sisters.

The loss of both my parents has left a hole that can never be filled.

It is an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

It's Time charity support young people that have lost a parent/s. 1 in 7 people will lose a parent by the time they are 30. Their goals are to create a community to connect those who have had similar experiences and help them feel less alone in grief. They want to help educate people on how to support young people going through the loss of one or both parents. From universities, colleges, schools, employers to friends family and partners.

As a relatively new and small charity I would also like to raise awareness for the amazing work they are doing. This is why I am committed to raising funds for this great organisation so that they can continue to offer their services to others that need them.
