Story
I am raising money for a children's nursery in Kuwadzana, Zimbabwe, which I was lucky enough to visit and volunteer at in 2010. Their outside area is old and unsafe, but they're lacking vital funds to update it. In turn this means they are struggling to attract new children to enrol.
Joel and I (mostly me!) took part in a walking challenge in May and did around 300,000 steps. So to raise some money for the nursery, I plan to try and beat that in June. Any donations, no matter how big or small are so appreciated. The nursery needs to raise £1900 so my aim is to raise as much of this as possible.
Here is a message from the nursery:
"We are always grateful for your love and thoughts for us here. As for the preschool, we are trying to rebrand and spruce up our buildings. We still have an outdated play area with old playing swings and slides which are now a danger to the kids.
I haver forwarded pictures of our current scenario and we are convinced that if we rebrand we should be able to attract more children and our enrolment will rise to levels where we have been always. The preschool has a good record in the community and we don't charge fees at commercial rates like others but at affordable levels since its our outreach and support to our community."
