Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

London Marathon

On Sunday 27th April 2025 I will be in London running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

WHY?

My dad (Allan) is currently living with a brain tumour, and to be honest, he's struggling a bit right now. I will be taking every step for him, and all others affected by brain tumours.

AND......

The Great Birmingham Run

On Sunday 4th May 2025, a team of us will be taking part in either the 10k or half marathon in Birmingham to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

This great team is:

Jane Elson, Jackie Eglese, Alison King, Alistair Mclaughlin, Thiago Ferrarini and me.

WHY?

This charity is very close to our hearts as our colleague / friend / husband Patrick Elson sadly passed away due to a brain tumour in 2023.

We all want to help make a difference and this page we hope will raise a few quid for a great cause to help fight something that could affect anybody, at any age. Brain tumours are wicked things and do not discriminate!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!

We are fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help us fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Thank you all for your ongoing support!
