Story
Show Racism The Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity, who aim to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominately but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racist message to young people and others. Show Racism The Red Card acknowledges that racism changes, as do the experiences of Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the UK. Our message and activities therefore need to be able to respond to such changes as and when appropriate.
As a club we highly value our inclusivity and believe it is vitally important that we not only stand against racism, but also continue to further educate ourselves and others as we are aware it continues to be a prodominant issue throughout all aspects of life, not only football but every sport. This year we have chosen Show Racism The Red Card as one of three important charities we will show our support for, raise awareness about and fundraise for throughout the year.
On Friday 21st October it is Wear Red Day 2022. Although we aren't at training on the day, we are encouraging our memers to wear red and will be showing our support of this vital cause as a club on Sunday 23rd October at our 5-aside training. We encourage ALL our members to wear as much RED as you can and donate so we can contribute to SRtRC ongoing campaign to help tackle racism in society by educating young people and adults to challenge racial misconceptions, stereotypes and negative attitudes in society.
