Ryan and Gina's 50km fundraiser for DBARC

Windsor Ultra Challenge 50km walk
In April, we are taking part in the Windsor Ultra Challenge 50km walk. The challenge means we will both be walking 50km in one day, rain or shine in order to reach the finish line.
Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre (DBARC) is a brilliant small charity local to us taking care of animals desperately in need of support. We witnessed the great work they're doing first hand when we adopted two wonderful kittens that had been surrendered to them late 2022. We were heartbroken to see the number of animals currently under their care and whilst we were unable to take them all home with us, we wanted to do something to raise money to help DBRAC so they can continue their vital work.
As with many animal charities, the cost of living crisis has been very tough, not just due to rising costs but as household expenses have risen, more animals have found themselves in the care of rescue centers.
Although we don't know the exact circumstances that resulted in our girls finding themselves at DBARC at just 7 weeks old, upon arrival Pixie was dangerously underweight and required a lot of medical attention. Mina was incredibly shy, likely due to their time before DBARC took them in. DBARC took excellent care of them both, Pixie may not have survived without their dedication to every animal.
All animal charities are desperately in need of our help right now, however small local rescues are particularly in need at the moment. We would be so grateful if you could donate whatever you can to help ensure that every animal going through DBARC's doors get the same excellent care ours did.
