On October 11th, I’ll be taking on the Great Eastern Run in Peterborough to support a cause that is incredibly close to my heart: Anna’s Hope.

My journey with this cause started when I was just two years old. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent major surgery at age three. While the operation was a success, it left me partially sighted in one eye and partially deaf in one ear. I know firsthand the challenges these children face, but I also know how lucky I am to be here today to run this race.

I am running for the charity Anna’s Hope. Anna was diagnosed in 2005 and fought with unbelievable courage for 15 months before passing away at just 3 years and 8 months old. Brain tumours are the UK’s biggest cancer killer of children, and for those who survive, the long-term impact on physical and learning abilities can be life-changing.

Anna’s Hope was set up by her parents, Carole and Rob, to provide rehabilitation and support for children exactly like me and Anna. They have done—and continue to do—amazing work to give children a better life.

Every penny you donate goes toward helping these brave children and their families. Thank you for helping me honor Anna’s legacy and support such a vital charity.
