Story
Hi All,
On my 40th Birthday this year I will be jumping out of a plane for Lymphoma Action. This is something I have always wanted to do but never had the guts to book it. Now I have booked it, the fear has very much kicked in! If it’s not the jump that’s worrying enough, I am presently sitting dangerously close to the weight limit so need to reign in my love of good food 😂
Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the fifth most common cancer which I have personally suffered with through 2018-2020 but very luckily been in remission from for just over 4 years.
Some of you all that know me well or have worked with me will know that I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hogkins Lymphoma back in 2019 after a period of illness. After some pretty unpleasant treatments during 2019 and a stem cell transplant in 2020, I was told I was in remission in April 2020 and have been ever since and remain in good health!
In the circumstances, it only seemed right that I raise funds for Lymphoma Action.
Lymphoma Action provide in-depth, expert information and wide-ranging support, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma. Our work drives improvements in the diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare of lymphoma. It only seemed right that I supported this charity!
They are here for everyone affected by lymphoma. https://lymphoma-action.org.uk/
It is a very worthy cause and any donations large or small are gratefully received!
I am also very aware that we are current enduring a real cost of living Crisis so if you can’t help out with a donation then fear not, you can do me a favour and go register as a stem cell donor for DKMS! It could be the biggest gift you ever give anyone by being a stem cell donor.
Many thanks and appreciate the help all!!
Ry
