I’m taking on the challenge of cycling from London to Brighton in September 2026 — a 55-mile ride — to raise money for an incredibly important cause.

I’m supporting Reach for Our Stars, a fundraising campaign led by Alfreton Park School in memory of three very special pupils — Teddy, Amie, and Rubie — who will always be part of their school community.

My partner works at Alfreton Park School, so I’ve heard first-hand about the plans for these sensory rooms and the positive impact they will have on the children who use them. Having children of my own and hearing about the project, seeing the dedication of the staff inspired me to get involved and do what I can to help.

The fundraising will help create three specialist sensory spaces:

⭐ Teddy’s Sensory Den – An active space with a sensory swing, soft play, and climbing wall to encourage movement, confidence, and exploration.

⭐ Amie’s Relaxation Room – A calming environment with a colour-changing ball pit, music, and sensory equipment to support emotional regulation and wellbeing.

⭐ Rubie’s Rainbow Room – A sensory room with light and UV experiences designed to encourage curiosity, relaxation, and sensory development.

These rooms will support children with complex needs, helping them feel calm, safe, understood, and better able to engage with learning and everyday school life.

Each room will create a lasting legacy for Teddy, Amie, and Rubie while making a real difference to children for years to come.
