💜 Counting Our Steps for Colin 💜
As we approach what would have been Colin’s birthday on Tuesday 7th May, we have decided to take on a challenge as the Hammond McNulty office, by attempting to walk up to 10,000 steps a day throughout the month of May in honour of our very dearly missed friend and colleague. Our total target will be 10 million steps for the month. Colin was an avid walker, making sure he always got his steps in every day even if it meant going out walking into the early hours of the morning, or after a few beers on his way home from social events.
Each individual will gather donations in the form of sponsorship from friends and family members which will be passed on to the chosen charity of Colin’s family. If you would like to make a contribution, there will be a fundraising collection tub in our reception from tomorrow onwards.
As well as counting our steps for Colin throughout May, we will also be taking part in a ‘Walking Relay’ on Tuesday 7th where we will walk to and around Congleton Park in half an hour slots throughout the working day with balloons as our ‘baton’. If you’re local to the area and would like to join us, then feel free to tag along to the walkers in the park.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating Colin’s memory as he loved a walk and probably outdid us on daily steps by a mile 🩵
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
