Ryan runs the London Marathon 2026 for The Family Holiday Charity

Ryan McGee is raising money for Family Holiday Charity

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

In 2026, our team of Holiday Heroes will tackle the iconic 26.2-mile route set around the River Thames in the London Marathon. The money they raise will help families facing tough times feel the lasting impact of a holiday.

Story

The Family Holiday Charity helps families get time away together, often for the first time ever.

Last year 136 people donated to support me in raising money to run the London Marathon for the Family Holiday Charity. In fundraising and finishing the race we made a difference contributing to 6 families having time away.

This year the task is simple run it again and make a difference again...easier said than done, as it requires the support, interest and care of people around me again-it really doesn't happen without you!!

Life is currently at its most expensive - any donation No matter whether the price of one posh pint of beer, a Costa coffee or even a Tony's Chocolate Bar can contribute to making a difference to a family that need some light in their life after periods of darkness.

The charity is there for children who've never seen the sea. For teenagers who can't remember when they last saw mum smile. For parents having to choose between a day out and a pair of school shoes.

For young carers, and families facing illness, isolation, or bereavement.

Holidays open up new possibilities. Time spent together helps build relationships, confidence and hope for the future.
