Wybers Wood School are raising money for Help 4 Homeless Veterans a Yorkshire based charity that covers Grimsby and N.E. Lincolnshire. Their aim is to support former members of HM Forces (Veterans) facing homelessness.
We are going to do this by having an all inclusive 'Army Day'. This includes an Operational Field Catering System (basically a portable kitchen) on school grounds, providing food at lunchtime.
There will be an obstacle course which promises to be tricky to negotiate, but also lots of fun!
A field catering/army rations workshop and an improvised cooking demonstration lesson.
To achieve reaching our target of £250 and above we are asking for the children to dress up in 'Army' camouflage/green/brown/clothing and war paint with a small donation of £1.
There will also be a lunch made within the Field Catering kitchen. We would ask for a further donation of £1 if they would like food, please state whether your child would like food on the donation.
The Lunch will be a choice of Spaghetti Bolognaise or Chicken Fajitas.
