I will be running 60km to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday this year. I will be running from Old Trafford, Manchester to the Kings Arms, Horbury on the day of his 10 year anniversary (04/10/2026)

I’m planning to finish the run in the early to mid afternoon in Horbury so please tell who you can to come together for my dad.

In memory of my Dad I’ve chosen the start and end locations which meant a lot to him. Old Trafford is self explanatory for his football club and the Kings Arms was his pub for his scooter club. His love for Manchester United and his love for being a ‘mod’ were two of many of his passions. And ‘passions’ is a word that cannot describe the love he had for not only these two but his other aspects like his family, friends, golf, etc.

My biggest lesson from him was how being passionate about anyone and everyone can leave such a mark on everyone you meet. I was so shocked to see how many people can come together both at his funeral and year after year at his golf day (Thankyou to Adam and everyone who helps at Waterton Park).

I also want to be responsible for help keeping his name remembered 10 years on and forever. So, I want to test myself to see if I can push my mental and physical boundaries with the limit. I’ve never ran further than 10km but I’m going to complete this run by using the fuel my dad gives me everyday to raise money for this great charity and so people remember what a great person can do to the people around him.
