Story
Hi everyone,
Myself (Ryan) and my mum (Sharon) are embarking on an adventure to summit Kilimanjaro in Africa at the end of this month for Parkinson's UK.
Around 170 thousand people in the UK are living with Parkinson's, and it can make everyday life a true struggle. Not only does it affect the people living with the disease, but also the families and friends around them. Recently, this has also become a personal experience of our own with a close family member being diagnosed.
Parkinson's UK strive to support those affected with everyday care, research into treatment and connecting those who are struggling.
Our Tanzanian journey will take us 5,895 metres up the highest free-standing mountain in the world, on an 8-day trek!
The challenge of "Kili" will test us with altitude sickness, arctic climates and tough conditions, but every donation will motivate us to push to the summit for this important cause.
Thank you.
