On October 15th, my two brothers, close friends and I will be running the Amsterdam Marathon to support pancreatic cancer. This cause holds great significance to me as my grandad lost his battle against this devastating disease. In addition to the above, I am running in honor of all those who have been affected by cancer. Recently, my older sister, Nikki, was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor and has just completed her initial 6-week treatment. Witnessing the terrible impact of cancer on individuals and their loved ones has fueled my determination to complete this marathon.
