London Marathon 2026
Campaign by Prost8 UK (RCN 1182590)
Prost8 is campaigning to broaden awareness of, and access to, newer minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer here in the UK. Our challenge is to dramatically reduce the current overtreatment of men with prostate cancer.

Story

Three years ago, my dad Scott was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Even though it was caught early and he was able to have surgery, hearing the words “you have cancer” is something you never forget. I remember the shock when I first found out, and the awful feeling of waiting while he was in surgery, not knowing how things would turn out. Thankfully, he came through it and we’re incredibly lucky to still have him, but the fear of it coming back never fully goes away.

I’m running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Prost8 UK to do it for my dad, and for all the families who find themselves in that same position. Prost8 is working to make better, less invasive treatments for prostate cancer more widely available across the NHS, helping men get the treatment they need without the life-changing side effects that often come with it.

This marathon means a lot to me. It’s my way of honouring my dad and turning a really frightening experience into something positive.

As part of my training for London, I’ll also be running the Málaga Half Marathon on 15th March, which feels like a big milestone on the road to April.

If you’re able to donate, I’d be so grateful. Every donation helps Prost8 continue their work and gives more families the chance we were lucky enough to have. If you can’t donate, sharing this page means just as much. Thank you for helping me do this for Dad.

If you’d like to follow along with my training, you can find me on Strava by searching “Ryann Warner.”

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support, it really does mean the world to me.
