Bike Run For David 💚

Boddam to Lossiemouth Bike Run · 1 June 2025
In November our family got the devastating news that David had passed… it was sudden it was out of the blue and something that really hit us all hard in different ways.
Every single day since I’ve thought about him and if there was anything I could have done to try help him through his struggles and it’s so hard to think it’s a question that will never be answered.
A few of his close friends have been doing different things in his memory to raise money for a local mental health charity up in Lossiemouth and that has really inspired me to use this heart break to try at least try help someone else in the future and hope they don’t feel this is the only way out.
I’ve decided that I’d like to do a bike run in his memory and have made the decision I’d like to bike from his first home in Boddam to his final resting place the cemetery at Lossiemouth. It’s approximately 82 mile and I’m going to do this on the 1st of June.
I’m immensely proud of what David achieved in his short life and will forever be proud to have been lucky enough to have him as my cousin.
People who know me know that I’m not great at showing emotion and I can be the world’s worst for bottling up how I feel and not talking and keeping everything to myself. It’s the hardest thing in the world to open up as you can feel vulnerable but I’m begging everyone… PLEASE PLEASE SPEAK UP! If your struggling just talk I promise you it will help…
Men United are a charity local to me that help Men who are struggling with mental health and they do an amazing job in our area and I’m proud to be raising money for them to hopefully help anyone that is struggling and needs help!
I would really appreciate any donation no matter how small towards this cause that means a lot to me and my family.
