Raphaël died on 16th of March 2024. He collapsed while playing sports at his school and could not be resuscitated. He was just 17 and the beloved only son of Michael Pryor and Sabine Vandenbroucke.
Raphaël was a childhood friend to my son, Alec - with a family link that goes back three generations. Raph and Alec played together as toddlers and ended up at school together, in the same house. With both boys ‘only children’, we felt an extra connection with Raph and his parents. There were times when he seemed almost like a brother to our son.
Together with Raphaël’s mother and a group of close friends, I have signed up to run in the Brighton Marathon on 6th April to raise money for Child Bereavement UK and am asking if you might please sponsor me.
Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
