Story
Hi, I'm Sanj.
From 27 September, I'll be taking on my biggest running challenge yet: running over 200km through the Dolomites in Italy over 5 days as part of the TRIBE Run for Love, gaining more than 8,000m of elevation along the way.
I've been running ultramarathons for a few years now, but this is taking things to another level. I'm incredibly excited about the challenge ahead. The training is already intense and continuing to ramp up, but that's all part of the journey.
Most importantly, I'm doing it to raise money for the TRIBE Freedom Foundation, helping to end modern slavery and support survivors of human trafficking.
I'm proud to be supporting a cause that deserves far more attention. It still shocks me that modern slavery affects millions of people worldwide and, having spent over a decade working in food and retail, where responsible and ethical supply chains are so important, I know how important it is to raise awareness of issues like this.
More than 50 million people worldwide are living in modern slavery, with an estimated 122,000 people exploited and trafficked within the UK.
The TRIBE Freedom Foundation raises awareness, supports survivors and funds frontline projects that help prevent exploitation and trafficking.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help support this important work.
Thank you for your support. It genuinely means a lot and will help keep me moving through every kilometre of this challenge.
