Story

Brace yourselves, folks, because I'm about to run a marathon! On April 6th, I'll be attempting to conquer the Brighton Marathon all in the name of Cancer Research UK.

Let's be honest, cancer has probably effected one of us in some way. Whether it's been a close call, a scary diagnosis, or sadly, the loss of someone we loved, this disease has a nasty habit of throwing curveballs.

So, I'm trading in my comfy couch for 26.2 miles of pure agony (mostly for charity, I swear!). Every hobble, every groan, every "why am I doing this?" moment will be dedicated to those battling this beast and remembering those we've lost. Anyone who knows me knows that running is about as natural to me as, I don't know, breathing underwater. So, a few hours of pain to raise money? Easy peasy... said no one ever.

My aim is to finish in a reasonable time, and by "reasonable," I mean before the next ice age.

My goal is to raise a grand total of £1,000. Every penny counts, so please, spare a few quid (or a few pounds, if you prefer) and help me prove that even the most gravity-defyingly unathletic person can make a difference.

I will continue to update my progress on here, which will likely consist of increasingly dramatic photos of me looking increasingly miserable.

Thanks for reading, and let's hope I don't end up crawling across the finish line... or needing to be rescued by a passing seagull.
