Ummah Welfare Trust was founded in 2001 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

In loving memory of our dear brother, husband, and amazing father, Anouar Baichou, who returned to Allah on Monday, April 7th, at the young age of 33, leaving behind his beloved wife and his son who turned one just the day before.

We are establishing this Sadaqah Jariyah fund in Anouar's name, seeking continuous blessings and rewards for him in the Hereafter. Sadaqah Jariyah is an act of charity that provides ongoing benefit to others, ensuring that the reward for the giver continues to accrue as long as the benefit lasts. This aligns with the teachings of our faith, where Allah (SWT) promises immense rewards for those who spend in His way, as mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261): "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [his reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing."

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also highlighted the significance of continuous charity, stating that it is one of the deeds that continues to benefit a person after their death.

The funds raised will be used for Sadaqah Jariyah projects in Anouar's name, aiming to bring lasting benefit to others and, Insha'Allah, a continuous stream of rewards for him. Knowing Anouar's humble and loving character, we believe this is the most fitting way to honour his memory and seek Allah's pleasure for him.

Please dig deep and contribute generously for our dear brother, husband, and father. Let us invest in his Hereafter and strive to give him the rewards he truly deserves. May Allah accept our efforts and grant Anouar the highest abode in Jannah. Ameen.
