Story

A Sadaqah Jariyah Project

Asalaamu alaykum,

Thank you for visiting this page.

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our beloved brother Afroz. During this incredibly difficult time, his childhood friends have come together to establish a form of Sadaqah Jariyah in his name, so that he may continue to receive reward even after his passing, in shā’ Allāh.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“When a person dies, all of their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1631)

What Is Sadaqah Jariyah?

Sadaqah Jariyah is a form of continuous charity that benefits others long after a person has passed away, allowing the reward to continue for them. Examples include:

• Building a mosque

• Providing clean water or digging wells

• Planting trees

• Supporting education or beneficial knowledge

• Funding long-term community projects

Our Intention

Alhamdulillah, after careful consideration, we have chosen to build a masjid in Afroz’s name. We pray that Allah ﷻ accepts this project, grants Afroz its ongoing reward, and makes it a means of mercy and elevation for him.

Afroz was a truly special soul — a “diamond” of a person — and his passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, and the wider community.

How You Can Help

Please share this page and contribute whatever you are able. Every donation counts — even £1 can make a difference.

Our Duʿāʾ

May Allah ﷻ ease Afroz’s time in the grave, allow him to recognise the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, make his grave a garden from Jannat al-Firdaws, and grant his family and loved ones sabr and strength during this difficult time. Āmīn.
