£2,500 can provide 50 people in Pakistan with clean Water For Life
Pakistan is amongst the most water-stressed countries in the world. Only 36% of the population has access to safe water, a problem that will likely get worse in the coming years due to rapid population and urbanisation, as well as global warming, which is rapidly depleting the country’s primary water source—seasonal snow and ice melt from the mountains.
Those who do have access to water are often drinking contaminated water, which is then resulting in many waterborne diseases such as cholera, guinea worm disease, typhoid, and dysentery. This is a direct result of issues such as damaged distribution lines from main tube well & storage tanks that are cracked and external contaminants from sewage lines.
